How Do I Lay Down a Fairway?

First, let's get a good look at the area.

1. Click the Magnifying Glass on the Toolbar.

2. In the Top View, click the Magnifying Glass to zoom in on the place you want to put your fairway.

 

Now we'll draw the fairway's boundary.

3. Select the Polygon Tool from the Toolbar.

4. Click and drag the shape of your fairway. Every click will put a point in the polygon where you can change direction.

5. When you're ready to close the polygon, right-click and select Done.

 

Now we'll add the proper terrain.

6. Select Fairway from the Terrain Types in the Toolbar.

7. Choose the Fill Terrain tool

and click within the polygon selection in either the Top View or the Camera View.
 

Now that we're done, let's tidy up after ourselves.

8. Right-click on the selection's white Control Square and choose De-select from the pop-up menu.

9. Click the Default Cursor Button.
